Planning: Complete

• Public engagement and site selection
• Develop construction plans, obtain appropriate approvals and permits
• Select vendor and order the battery
• Site clearing completed by Chu Níikwän

Site preparation: Ongoing until winter 2023/24

• Build construction access road to the commercial area (Chu Níikwän)
• Grade the site
• Lay the foundations

Construction: Ongoing until fall 2024

• Build the transmission line connection to the grid
• Install the perimeter fence
• Install the battery components
• Install security and fire-monitoring and fire-suppression systems
• Emergency-responder training

Battery in-service: Winter 2024/2025

• Ongoing operations and maintenance
