Micro-Generation

The Government of Yukon has extended the pause of intakes to the micro-generation renewable energy program until January 15, 2026. The area of the pause is expanding to include all communities connected to the Yukon grid.

The pause began in December 2023 to allow the Government of Yukon and the utilities time to assess what system upgrades are needed to ensure the grid remains reliable and stable as more renewable energy comes online.
