ATCO Electric Yukon (AEY) and Yukon Energy Corporation (YEC) (jointly the Utilities) have filed an application with the Yukon Utilities Board (Board) requesting an order approving certain updates to the Terms and Conditions of Service (Ts&Cs). The Utilities provide generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical energy in Yukon.
The Utilities are seeking: approval of updates focussed on modernization of the Ts&Cs; updates for the maximum investment levels by the utilities, including an inflation mechanism for future years; and updated fees and service charges to reflect changes in operations, including an inflation mechanism for future years.
A written hearing will take place regarding the Application.

Changes focused on modernizing the Ts&Cs will address elements such as grid modernization efforts and different loads in isolated communities.
Proposed updates will also create clarity in existing sections to better provide guidance to customers and the utilities.
It has been over 10 years since the last update to the Ts&Cs, maximum investment levels and the fees schedule under which the Utilities provide service today.
