Who we are: Yukon Energy is the primary generator and transmitter of electrical energy in the Yukon territory, operating within the Traditional Territories of Yukon First Nations. What will you do: As the Demand Side Management (DSM) Engineer, you will:

  • Lead and deliver DSM programs designed to encourage customers to shift electricity use during peak demand periods.
  • Manage all phases of DSM projects, from pre-feasibility studies and planning to full implementation.
  • Oversee the development of innovative solutions to optimize energy consumption patterns and enhance grid efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful program execution and alignment with Yukon Energy’s objectives.

What you need to succeed:

  • University degree in engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the development or execution of DSM programming and/or regulatory applications, preferably in the energy industry or related heavy industry
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills
  • Sets priorities and manages time effectively
  • Effective communicator, able to collaborate and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Organizational savvy with knowledge of how the organization functions and interacts with stakeholders
  • Learns quickly and takes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks
  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of new technologies, anticipates the impacts of emerging technologies on the business, and adjusts
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Manages ambiguity and can deal comfortably with uncertainty

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefit package.
