What will you do: As the Records Analyst & Corporate Assistant, you will:
- Support the corporate records program and the Corporate Secretary, with approximately 60% focused on records management and 40% on corporate assistance (duties may shift over time).
- Maintain, safeguard, and manage the lifecycle of official records, ensuring compliance with retention schedules and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee records management, ensuring proper storage, retrieval, and disposal of corporate documents.
- Provide general administrative support to the Corporate Secretary and other departments as needed.
- Work within the Traditional Territories of Yukon First Nations, recognizing and respecting the communities we serve.
What you need to succeed:
- Post-secondary education in Records and Information Management (RIM), Library Studies, or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
- Minimum of three (3) years of direct experience in the Records Management field with demonstrated knowledge of electronic records and information management processes.
- Training and/or thorough familiarity and proficiency with computerized systems including Microsoft Office programs and database systems with an aptitude for learning new software and systems.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all departments.
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality of matters.
- Thorough understanding of records management practices and principles including classification and retention scheduling.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and coordinate with others in departmental and organizational records management projects, with minimal supervision.
- Detail oriented and ability to maintain a high degree of visual attention and mental concentration.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to communicate with various departments on established records management procedures and to develop, prepare and deliver training and user material.
- Solid client service orientation and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to the work such as bending, lifting and moving boxes and the ability to lift storage boxes weighing up to 16 kg.
Compensation: Competitive salary and benefit package.
