Learning from Our Elders

For the past several years, Yukon Energy has offered an Elders' Program in our First Nations tent at the Whitehorse Rapids Fishway. Elders make themselves available in the tent twice a week to share their knowledge and experience with both Yukoners and visitors. 

Our Elders' Program is starting again on July 1st. Gwitchin elder Mary Decker will be available on Mondays throughout July and August from 1 - 2 p.m.  On most Thursdays, Carcross Tagish elder Doris McLean will be in the tent from 1 - 2 p.m.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity and come chat with them.

There is no charge for this program, although there is a suggested $3 donation to visit the fishladder.
