Brian Knoke, Board Advisor

Brian Knoke is Executive Vice-President, Operations at BC Hydro and serves as an advisor to Yukon Energy’s Board of Directors. He leads the teams responsible for the safe and reliable operation of BC Hydro’s generation and grid infrastructure, including control centres, water management, maintenance and field operations serving communities across British Columbia.

Brian joined BC Hydro in 1999 through its Engineer-in-Training program and has held progressively senior roles in generation operations and major-project delivery. He helped lead the John Hart Generating Station Replacement Project and later held senior leadership roles on Site C, including Executive Vice-President, Site C, with overall responsibility for BC Hydro’s largest capital project. His experience spans hydroelectric operations, asset management, risk management and the delivery of complex infrastructure.

Brian is a professional engineer and holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Victoria. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, biking and exploring British Columbia’s waters and mountains with family and friends.
