8:55 a.m.: We are aware of a power outage affecting parts of Cooper Ridge, Arkell, Granger, Hillcrest and around the airport. Our crews are working with ATCO Electric Yukon to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
9:00 a.m.: Power has been restored to all customers. Thank you for your patience. Crews will now be looking to determine the exact cause of the outage.
9:10 a.m.: This morning's outage was caused by a trip at our Whitehorse LNG facility which caused us to lose about 12 MW of electricity on the system. This caused the outage. The LNG units were restarted and are on-line again.
