This Year’s Appreciation Night at the Fishladder

Now that the Chinook salmon are starting to arrive at the Whitehorse Rapids Fishway, we want to tell you about this year's Appreciation Night at the ladder.

It's taking place on Friday, August 15th from 5 - 9 p.m.

This is an annual event hosted jointly by Yukon Energy (owners of the ladder) and the Yukon Fish and Game Association (the folks who operate the facility for us each summer).

It's a great chance for you to see the Chinook salmon up close and learn about their incredible journey from the Bering Sea. You'll also have a chance to:

• watch broodstock being collected for the next generation of salmon
• enjoy free cake and refreshments
• win great door prizes!
