Yukon Energy is committed to treating all Yukoners with dignity and respect. We know that the incident that occurred in Dawson City on June 6 was hurtful to many and that is deeply concerning to us.
Addressing an incident as serious as the one that occurred takes time and is complex. Our investigation into the incident began as soon as we learned of it and since then, has involved us interviewing the individuals involved.
Our review of the incident is now complete and the matter has been addressed. Given the personal privacy rights of our employee, we are unable to disclose any details about how we have dealt with this matter.
We recognize that rebuilding trust with our neighbours, friends and customers will take time. We continue to consider ways we can learn from what happened that day and to improve our business practices to ensure that a similar incident doesn’t happen again.
