Here's a message from ATCO Electric Yukon that affects Yukon Energy customers at Jakes Corner: there is a planned power outage set for this Friday, November 4th from 3 - 5 a.m. for all customers along Alaska Highway South from McCrae Industrial & Sima up to Teslin (not including Teslin).
The outage also includes the South Klondike Highway, all the subdivisions along both highways, Carcross, Tagish, Tagish Road, Judas Creek, Marsh Lake, Jakes Corner and the Teslin cottage lots.
The outage is necessary to allow crews to safely do upgrades on the McCrae substation.
