Work continues to proceed on time and on budget at our Mayo B site. Here are a few images taken this week.
Inside the penstock; the pipe that will be buried underground and will carry water from Wareham Lake to the new powerhouse.
The scroll cases in the powerhouse. These move water from the penstock to the turbine blades.
The water hits the blades and then flows back out into the river.
A closer look at one of the scroll cases. The silver metal parts you see are called wicket gates
and control the flow of water to the turbines.
