Feb 1, 2024: An update on the situation at our Aishihik Generating Station

Yesterday evening through to this morning, crews were able to remove more of the ice build-up at the plant’s intake. As a result, we were able to run the plant overnight at reduced capacity. This means that while the situation is improving, we still have less hydro power available and continue to use more diesel than usual. We continue to slowly bring the plant back online to its full capacity and are monitoring the situation closely. We will provide another update tomorrow.
