The Opportunity: Electrical Maintenance Planner

Compensation: Level 9: $51.44/hr-$61.44/hr PLUS Northern Allowance.
Do you enjoy bringing structure and clarity to complex maintenance operations? Yukon Energy is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Planner to join our Operations team in Whitehorse, Yukon, helping coordinate and plan the electrical maintenance work that supports the reliable generation and delivery of power across the territory.
What will you do: As a key member of the Operations and Maintenance team, you will:
- Coordinate and plan electrical maintenance activities by developing work plans and supporting the Operations Maintenance Schedule in collaboration with Operations staff, other Maintenance Planners, and contractors.
- Support the implementation and effective use of Yukon Energy’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system, including work order management, user adoption, and maintaining the integrity of maintenance data.
- Analyze maintenance data, KPIs, and reports to support operational decision-making and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance planning processes.
What you need to succeed:
- Journey-level certification as an Electrician or Power Systems Electrician.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in an industrial or utility operational environment, including experience as a job planner or scheduler.
- Experience working with Enterprise Asset Management / CMMS systems and computer applications including databases, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in the maintenance of modern electrical utilities, including generating plants, transmission and distribution systems, and related infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated analytical, organizational, cost estimation, and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to preventive/predictive maintenance programs and safe work practices.
Compensation: Level 9: $51.44/hr-$61.44/hr PLUS Northern Allowance.
