Financial Administrator –  Play an important role in Yukon Energy’s Finance team working with all departments and employees on a day to day basis.

THE COMPANY:

Yukon Energy is the main generator and transmitter of electrical energy in the Territory. We are a renewable company with 95% of our electricity coming from hydro and we were the first northern utility and only the fifth in Canada to receive a Sustainable Electricity CompanyTM designation from the Canadian Electricity Association.  

THE POSITION:

Permanent, fulltime and based in Whitehorse Yukon, the hourly maximum is $40.42. You’ll have post secondary training in accounting at a level sufficient to perform reconciliations and develop financial and managerial reports. You must be a good people person with strong computer and organizational skills.

Yukon is a perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts and for raising a family. Whitehorse, the capital, has the amenities of a city, while maintaining a small-town atmosphere. There is a vibrant arts and culture community, theaters, restaurants, outstanding coffee shops and sports opportunities for young and old alike. The excellent school system offers English and French instruction to the college level. Multiple daily flights will get you to Vancouver in two hours and Edmonton or Calgary in less than three hours on scheduled days.
