Charlotte Mitha is the Executive Vice President of Operations at BC Hydro. Charlotte and her business group of 2700 people operates, maintains and connects customers to the provincial system that generates and delivers electricity safely and reliably to BC Hydro’s customers. As part of the executive team, she is focused on delivering BC Hydro’s 5-year strategy to meet its growing load and the provincial clean energy plan.

• Mechanical engineer with 30 years of experience in the energy sector and almost 20 years of experience with BC Hydro.
• Master of Business Administration from Royal Holloway College, University of London.
• Background in Generation as a mechanical design and construction engineer and in Distribution Operations and Design.
• Held previous roles include f Director of Distribution Design and Customer connections, Manager of BC Hydro’s Non-Integrated Areas and diesel unit and provincial manager of Strategic Emergency Management.
• Experience overseeing line and stations operations, indigenous and community relations, and management of IPP’s and new power procurement opportunities).
