The Whitehorse Rapids fish camera operates during the summer months until early September. It provides a rare opportunity to see a variety of species of Yukon fish, including arctic grayling, whitefish, lake trout, longnose sucker, and - in late July and throughout August - Chinook salmon.
1,227 Chinook salmon travelled through our ladder in 2017, compared with more than 1,550 the year before.
Totals so far this year, as of August 16, 2018: 264 salmon have passed through the ladder: 207 wild and 57 hatchery.
