The Opportunity: Casual – On Call

Yukon Energy is the main generator and transmitter of electrical energy in the territory. Our plant facilities are on the Traditional Territory of Yukon First Nations. There are 14 First Nations in the territory, and we work within these Traditional Territories in all our business operations.

What will you do?

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled worker to join our Thermal Maintenance team. The primary focus of this position will be the safe and efficient operation of the LNG offloading process.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Knowledge at the grade 12 level plus some vocational training with cryogenic liquid and vapor handling equipment
  • Strong client service orientation
  • Knowledge of Windows-based computer software application
  • Proven record and commitment to safe procedures and encouraging a safe work environment
  • A valid Yukon class 5 driver’s license
  • A valid First Aid certificate
  • Ability to work in a team and cross-cultural environment
  • Underfills will be considered

Competitive Compensation: $ 30.79- $36.77 per hour

What are the working conditions?

This position works in proximity to Liquid Natural Gas with exposure to cryogenic equipment and liquids in a plant environment. May be exposed to inclement weather while working outside. Hours are irregular.
