Scholarships
Yukon Energy provides scholarship opportunities for Yukon students. These scholarships are a significant investment in our communities and symbolize our ongoing belief in the potential of the young people in the territory. Yukon Energy General Scholarship - four awards of $2,000 each
These scholarships are for post secondary students studying electrical or maintenance engineering, electronic systems engineering, civil engineering, and energy-related studies. Two scholarships are given to first year students, and two to students entering second year or beyond.
Yukon Energy Ed Chambers Memorial Trades Scholarship - two awards of $1,000 each
This scholarship is in memory of Ed Chambers. Mr. Chambers served on Yukon Energy's Board of Directors from February 1991 to May 2004 and was a tremendous asset to this Corporation. This scholarship is for students entering pre-apprenticeship or entry level programs in the areas of electrician, power line technician, electronics technician, heavy duty mechanic, industrial instrument mechanic, industrial mechanics (millwright) or machinist.
