Yukon Energy provides scholarship opportunities for Yukon students. These scholarships are a significant investment in our communities and symbolize our ongoing belief in the potential of the young people in the territory. These scholarships are for post secondary students studying electrical or maintenance engineering, electronic systems engineering, civil engineering, and energy-related studies. Two scholarships are given to first year students, and two to students entering second year or beyond.
This scholarship is in memory of Ed Chambers. Mr. Chambers served on Yukon Energy's Board of Directors from February 1991 to May 2004 and was a tremendous asset to this Corporation. This scholarship is for students entering pre-apprenticeship or entry level programs in the areas of electrician, power line technician, electronics technician, heavy duty mechanic, industrial instrument mechanic, industrial mechanics (millwright) or machinist.
