Repairing Our Vestas

Energy Supply

Repairs are taking place this week on the larger of our two wind turbines on Haeckel Hill near Whitehorse. The Vestas as it is known has been out of service because of damage to its blades caused by flying ice debris. The blades have now been patched and the unit is undergoing regular preventative maintenance. Expect to see the blades turning very shortly.

As for the smaller wind turbine, it remains out of service while a decision is made about its fate. It has reached end of life and it is proving to be extremely difficult to find parts to keep it operating.
