Latest Water Levels on the Southern Lakes

Frequent readers of this blog know that we regularly post the summer water levels of Marsh Lake, as a way of helping local property owners anticipate what to expect for peak levels later in the summer. Early indications of possible flooding give residents time to do sandbagging or take other measures to protect their properties.

The most recent water levels chart can be found here. Based on the information we had this spring, we expected peak levels to be in the range of what they were in 2004. Since then, new information is indicating levels should be lower than they were in 2004.  This is very good news for those who have properties in low-lying areas around the lake.

We have promised to update our projected water level chart on a weekly basis here on this blog, so check back regularly for the latest information.
